Do you support local food? Do you like apples? Congleton Sustainability Group are holding an event to mark the end of their Apple Week. Get down to Foundry Bank for juice, pies, chutneys and more. Details below.
Hi Everyone,
BIG APPLE at VICTORIA MILL on Foundry Bank, Saturday afternoon 3pm to 6pm.
The main event of this Congleton Apple Week takes place at Victoria Mill on Saturday afternoon from 3pm to 6pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and see the art that has been created around the apple theme by schoolchildren in the town. We aim to make it all lots of fun!
Everyone will be welcome to taste Congleton Apple Juice of course.
Purple Laura our jams and chutney maker will be demonstrating making ‘cold chutneys’ from apples, chutneys without cooking, that is!
We shall have apple pies for people to taste and vote for the best one.
Come and taste the very best of Cheshire grown apples. Once you have tasted you can buy some for yourselves too! From people’s reactions at the One World event in Alsager last Saturday this was extremely popular as people bought over 100 lbs of apples having tasted them to decide the ones they liked best.
And, of course, everyone who has given us apples will be very welcome to come along and collect their free bottle of juice.
